Barnhisel Willis Barlow & Stephens, PC is proud to serve the mid-Willamette Valley area. We are a law firm focused on the legal needs of business and families in our community.

John B. Fenner started his law practice in Corvallis, Oregon in December of 1954. Prior to that he had practiced in Portland for three years following his graduation from Stanford Law School. After practicing 16 years in Corvallis, John was joined by Peter L. Barnhisel in February of 1970. Peter Barnhisel, a University of Oregon law graduate, had practiced with the Portland law firm of McCulloch, Dezendorf & Spears for the four years prior to that time.

In 1982, R. Tim Willis joined Fenner & Barnhisel. Tim Willis had come to Oregon from Iowa in 1970 and is a Willamette Law School graduate. He had practiced in Corvallis for 6 Years prior to joining the firm.

John L. Barlow graduated from Stanford Law School in 1981 and immediately went to work for the Portland law firm of Miller, Nash, Wiener, Hager, & Carlsen in its labor law department. He came to Corvallis to join Fenner, Barnhisel & Willis in November 1983.

In 1995, Cary B. Stephens joined Fenner, Barnhisel, Willis, & Barlow, P.C. after graduating form University of Oregon. In 1998, John Fenner retired. The firm changed its name to Barnhisel, Willis, Barlow & Stephens, P.C. in 2002.

The members of our law firm have a wide variety of interests and activities, both inside and outside the practice of law. Our credentials, both academically and in the practice of law, are comparable to those of any group of lawyers in this state.
