David attended Georgetown University School of Business in Washington, DC before transferring to Columbia College in Chicago where he received his bachelor's degree in English Literature and Writing in 1985. After graduating, David worked for the management consulting firm of Booz-Allen & Hamilton in Chicago. In 1991, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Theology from Ambassador College in Pasadena, California. David earned his JD in 1995 from Duke University School of Law. In 1997, he joined Glen Bachman and formed Bachman and Swanson, PLLC. In 2019, David joined Lauri Klein in forming Swanson Klein Law, PLLC.
