Yes I will review documents prepared by clients, however, I will charge hourly for reviewing the documents and any necessary changes that need to be made. It can be more cost-effective to not prepare your own documents and instead rely on my legal advice and preferred document forms.
Education is a great thing, and I encourage others to educate themselves as much as possible on any and all issues that would have an impact on their lives. But to google is not to educate yourself adequately on most issues, especially legal ones. As an attorney, my education is built upon the countless hours of studying during law school and taking the bar exam, and actively participating and keeping myself current with all legal changes and continuing legal education. It is easy to find misleading and sometimes very incorrect information on the internet, so I encourage clients to educate themselves but in a way that guarantees they are obtaining accurate information.
Yes, I am an active participator for pro bono legal services in the Miami-Dade community. I have given free workshops regarding estate planning to the general public, assisted low income families with their estate plans and probate administrations. Giving back to the community is important to me, not only as an attorney but as a member of our society.
