How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Our firm was founded by Danny L. Akin and Joy R, Webster in 1994. Mr. Akin had previously served as law-clerk under the Hon. Robert Hershner (Bankruptcy Judge) and had practiced in the area of bankruptcy for 12 years. Mrs. Webster had worked in the Bankruptcy arena for three years prior to her joining the firm. Robert M. Matson came with the firm in 1996 and became one of only a handful of certified consumer bankruptcy practitioners in the Middle District of Georgia. Our firm prides itself in providing high quality, reasonably priced legal representation in the field of Bankruptcy.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Through 23 years as a firm, our lawyers have represented Trustees, Creditors, Banks, Individuals and Businesses. Our range of experience is unparalleled and we pride ourselves in maintaining individual contact with our clients.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Our firm concentrates on treating each case personally. Our interviews are conducted by an attorney, not a paralegal. When we make phone contact with a client we try to make sure that the contact is between humans not phone message systems. In addition, we maintain other modes of communication to try to insure that we can be reached easily and effectively. Our main focus is making sure that our clients are properly served. We routinely set late and Saturday appointments to offer our clients full access without loss of time at work or undue inconvenience. Our main goal is to make sure our clients cases are handled efficiently and professionally.
