We help you begin your online divorce by asking you a few short questions to check your eligibility. Next, you'll answer easy-to-follow questions online at your own pace. Once you complete the questions you can generate and print your divorce documents. Once you have your documents we'll provide your step-by-step filing procedures. You and your spouse will sign your documents and then you can file them with the court. After you file them with the courthouse clerk a judge will review and sign your documents. Once the judge signs, your divorce will be finalized.
You can use our process to fill out your divorce forms in an hour or less in most cases. Then, from the time you file it could take 30 to 90 days to finalize your divorce depending on the laws in your state. Most divorces are finalized in 45 days. Some states have a mandatory waiting period. California currently requires a 6 month wait and Pennsylvania requires 90 days.
You would have to mail your spouse their documents to sign. After they sign and mail them back to you, you'll file them with the clerk at the courthouse.
Yes. Typically 2-3 documents must be notarized. There are notary clauses by the signature lines indicating which forms must be notarized. Your documents do not need to be notarized at the same time or place as your spouse.
