For software products on an annual release cycle, free technical support ends on December 31 of the year in the title. For example, Quicken WillMaker Plus 2010 is supported through December 31, 2010. The final Web Update containing bug fixes and legal updates will be prepared in the fall of 2010 and will be made available for downloading through January 31, 2012.
For software products that are not on an annual release cycle, free technical support typically continues for either one year after a newer version is released or one year after the product is discontinued and out of print. For example, since WillMaker 8 for Windows was released in September 2000, free support for WillMaker 7 for Windows continued until September 2001.
