Nolo's Technical Support Policy
Nolo provides technical support* to registered users of the most current versions of our
software. If you haven't done so already, please register (each program includes information on how to
do so). NOTE: If you purchased your software directly from Nolo -- either from our web site or
by phone -- you are already registered and don't need to send in a registration form.
Note to Mac users: As of September 2001, Nolo stopped providing technical support for the
Macintosh and will no longer be able to assist you if you have problems using Nolo software on your
Mac. For details, see Macintosh user support policy.

1. Policy for Current Versions
Nolo offers unconditional, free technical support to registered users of current versions of our
software. To learn about when support will end, see Policy for out-of-date
versions, below.

2. Policy for Out-of-Date Versions
a. Older products/versions that are still supported
For software products on an annual release cycle, free technical support will end on
December 31 of the year in the title. For example, Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009 will be supported
through December 31, 2009. The final Web Update containing bug fixes and legal updates will be
prepared in the fall of 2009 and will be made available for downloading through January 31, 2011.
For software products that are not on an annual release cycle, free technical support for
out-of-date versions typically continues for either one year after a newer version is released or one
year after the product is discontinued and out of print. For example, since WillMaker 8 for Windows
was released in September 2000, free support for WillMaker 7 for Windows continued until September
2001.
There are no such products at this time.
b. Older products/versions that are no longer supported
If your version is listed below, your software is out of date and technical support has expired.
Laws change frequently, and Nolo cannot guarantee the legal validity of these products. If you use one
of the programs listed below, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the current version. Click here to see information about current Nolo software

Macintosh user support policy
Since the overwhelming majority of our customers (and software buyers in general) are Windows
users, Nolo has made the pragmatic decision to focus our efforts on the Windows platform for software
development and technical support.
As of September 2001, Nolo stopped providing technical support for the Macintosh and will not be
able to assist you if you have any problems using the following kinds of Nolo products on your
Mac:
- Software: To find out when technical support for your Nolo software will end for your Nolo
software, see the lists in Nolo's software support
policy.
- Downloadable eProducts: Nolo's downloadable eProducts (eBooks, eGuides, eFormKits and
eForms) should be accessible to most Mac users. However, we will no longer provide technical support
via phone or email to Mac users of these products. If you are having problems using downloadable
eProducts on your Mac, visit the eBooks, eFormKits and
eGuides FAQ page or the eForms FAQ page
for help.
- Forms on CD-ROM: Forms on CD-ROM (included in the back of many Nolo books) should
be accessible to most Mac users. However, we will no longer provide technical support via phone or
email to Mac users of these products. If you are having problems using forms on CD on your Mac, visit
