Library Ordering Policies and Discounts

We want to make ordering books for your library as simple and convenient as possible. If you have a question about ordering that you can't find the answer to here, please contact us.

Ordering

You can order from Nolo by phone, fax, mail or email. Please include the following information on all orders:

• Your Nolo account number (if applicable)
• Your name and phone number
• Your "Ship To" address (No P.O. boxes)
• Your "Bill To" address, if different
• Your preference regarding backorders
• Your Purchase Order number
• The quantity desired of each Nolo title, and each title's ISBN (if available)
• Please indicate whether you would also like to automatically receive future editions and we'll add them to on your Standing Order Plan!

Regular Library Discount: 20%

Standing Order Discount: 30%

Shipping

We'll ship your orders by UPS or RPS and bill you at the lower library rate. Most orders will be shipped within 48 hours. (This applies to books shipped within the Continental U.S. only.)

Returns

You may return any Nolo book within six months of a library's invoice date, as long as the book is unmarked, unprocessed and in saleable condition. Include a copy of the invoice with the return. Claims for missing or damaged books must be made within 45 days of invoice date. Credits are issued upon receipt of books.

Standing Order Policy

Regular Standing Order Plan

• Place at least one title on standing order and receive a 30% discount on ALL of your library's orders.
• You select the titles you wish to have on standing order and specify the quantity you wish to have sent. You may change your selections at any time.
• We will automatically send you new editions of the titles you have indicated as soon as they are available.
• Please indicate whether you would also like to receive any copies of the currently available edition. (Please note that a title placed on standing order will only be shipped upon publication of its next edition unless specified!)

National Title Standing Order Option

• First edition of new national Nolo titles will be sent automatically.
• If you'd like to receive future editions of these new titles call us and we'll add it to your standing order list.
• This option is highly recommended for busy librarians who like to keep abreast of our new titles but can't always find the time.
• Remember…place even one title on standing order and receive a 30% discount on ALL of your library's orders.

California Title Standing Order Option

• First edition of new California-specific Nolo titles will be sent automatically.
• If you'd like to receive future editions of these new CA titles, call us and we'll add it to your standing order list.
• This option is highly recommended for busy librarians who especially like to keep abreast of our new CA titles. It may be combined with the “National Option” for the ultimate “up-to-date Nolo experience.”
• Remember…place even one title on standing order and receive a 30% discount on ALL of your library's orders.

Deluxe Standing Order Plan

• All current and future Nolo titles are added to your Standing Order Plan automatically.
• We will not add titles that are state specific unless your library is in that state. You may also specifically exclude  titles if you know you don't want them.
• Please call us and we will customize a plan to work for you!
