California Traffic-Ticket Amnesty Program Ends April 3, 2017

Last chance to apply for fine reductions and license reinstatement under California’s traffic-ticket amnesty law.

California’s traffic-ticket amnesty program—which went into effect in October 2015—ends Monday, April 3, 2017. The program allows certain people with unpaid traffic or non-traffic infraction tickets to apply for fine reductions and license reinstatement. Eligible applicants can reduce their fines by 50 to 80 percent, depending on income. (Cal. Veh. Code § 42008.8.)
