USCIS has announced an increase in the fees that immigrants and their sponsors must file to apply for various immigration benefits (such as green cards), effective November 23, 2010. Immigrants and their sponsors will now have to pay an average of 10% more for services. The fee for applying for naturalization (U.S. citizenship), however, remained the same.
