In Nebraska, survivors can now transfer their personal property by affidavit if the value of all of the personal property in their estate is not more than $50,000, and they can transfer real estate by affidavit if the value of all of their Nebraska real estate is no more than $30,000. (Effective for deaths on or after August 30, 2009.)
In Oregon, summary probate is now available if the fair market value of the estate is $275,000 or less, and not more than $200,000 of that value is real estate. (Effective for deaths on or after January 1, 2010.)
In Wyoming, effective July 1, 2011, the small estate limit is $200,000, up from $150,000 under prior law.
