Maryland to Recognize Same-Sex Marriages Performed Elsewhere

As of February 2010, Maryland has begun recognizing same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions. As long as the marriage was legal when it was entered into, the state of Maryland will give the parties' marital status full recognition, even though Maryland itself does not allow same-sex marriage.
