The federal stimulus package of 2009 included a new tax credit called "Making Work Pay," in which taxpayers will receive between approximately $400 and $800 from the government. Unusually, however, it will be paid via employee paychecks -- and could change the amount of tax you'd expected to owe or receive next April.
