Dustin Hoffman Case Reversed on Appeal

The district courts opinion in Hoffman v. Capital Cities/ABC Inc., described in Chapter 12 (Releases), of Getting Permission, was reversed on appeal. The Ninth Circuit held that the use of Hoffmans head on another models body did not violate the right of publicity and was permitted under free speech standards.
