Error in the Spanish Month-to-Month Rental Agreement in California Landlord's Book

The California Landlord's Law Book: Rights and Responsibilities, contains a Spanish version of the month-to-month rental agreement. On the version on the CD-ROM, Clause 4 incorrectly asks the landlord to enter the ending date of the agreement (only a lease has a predetermined ending date; rental agreements end when the landlord or tenant delivers proper notice). The printed, tear-out version in the back of the book does not contain this error.

Users of the CD-ROM should substitute the following language for Clause 4 (copy and paste this language over the current Clause 4 in your .rtf rental agreement):

4. Período de Arrendamiento. El término de la renta comenzará el ________ de _________ de 20__, y será prorrogable mensualmente. Este arrendamiento puede ser terminado por el Arrendador o los Inquilinos, y puede ser modificado por el Arrendador con un aviso por escrito del uno al otro con 30 días de anticipación o con un aviso por escrito del Arrendador a los Inquilinos, con 60 días de anticipación, bajo la Sección 827 ó 1946.1 del Código Civil de California (sujeto a cualquier reglamento local de control de renta que pueda aplicarse).
