Department of Labor Officially Administers Black Lung Program

The Social Security Administration no longer administers any part of the Black Lung program (the 20 CFR Part 410 regulations relating to its administration were removed). Citation: Fed. Reg. Vol. 77 No. 62, March 20, 2012, in accordance with Pub. L. 107-275, which transferred all Black Lung responsibility to the Department of Labor, beginning January 31, 2003.
