General Motors has announced the recall of 2,100 Cruze compact cars for the 2011 model year because of a potential problem with the steering wheel column. So far there's been one reported incident in which the steering wheel has literally come off in a Cruze driver's hands. No accidents or injuries have been linked to the problem.
