Correction for the 9th Edition of Make Your Own Living Trust

In the 9th edition of Make Your Own Living Trust, the word "California" was inadvertently used in the Notary's Acknowledgement. This mistake occurs both in the tear-out forms in the back of the book and on the CD-ROM.  As as result, you will need to make a small fix to the language of your acknowledgement form:

In the last sentence of the acknowledgement, replace "California" with the name of your own state.  That last sentence will read "I certify under PENALTY OF PERJURY under the laws of [your state ]  that the foregoing paragraph is true and correct."

Notaries in your state may still prefer to use their own acknowledgement forms -- this is fine, and will not affect the validity of your living trust.
