Our firm represents American and foreign individuals and corporate clients in a wide variety of legal matters. The firm concentrates in business, family, probate and estate planning, immigration, and real estate matters. It provides general civil litigation expertise and handles transactions locally, in Europe, and in the Middle East. The principals of the Tour-Sarkissian Law Offices are fluent in French, Armenian and Arabic. I co-founded Tour-Sarkissian Law Offices in 1988.
From 1985 through 1988, I was a partner at Baker, Wright, Dear, and Deome in Oakland, California. In 1988, I co-founded the Tour-Sarkissian Law Offices in San Francisco, California. As a partner, I represent clients from all over the world in family law matters, including marital dissolution and child custody cases in Hague and non-Hague convention signatory countries. I also represent high-asset clients with support and enforcement issues in the United States and internationally.
Since 1995, I have been an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, teaching courses in Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Litigation, Property, Real Estate Finance, Commercial Finance and General Civil Litigation Practice.
I have been a real estate broker since 1997. I am co-owner and founder of Amicus Realty, a real estate firm specializing in commercial and residential real estate transactions.
I believe that it is important for clients to educate themselves on legal issues.
It depends on the client.
Not generally.
I decided to be a lawyer because I enjoyed the mental exercise and analytical thinking that is inherent in the practice of law.
My experience in Journalism, Psychology, and Mathematics, and the fact that I majored in English, help me to be a better lawyer.
I decided on my primary specialty because I enjoy the nature of issues presented by family law; the subject matter of real estate law also interests me.
I enjoy the clients and the variety of cases.
I have two excellent associate attorneys that provide support and are extremely competent to handle all aspects of firm representation. My office manager maintains the business and handles all aspects of the firm's finances.
My unique strength and expertise is my multicultural background, my ability to think analytically, and my ability to listen.
I am a tolerant, firm advocate, and aggressive when necessary. I will consider mediation if it is in the client's best interest.
I enjoy teaching and learning more about any and all areas of law that can make me a better lawyer.
