I founded my firm in November 2004 to provide legal services, including labor and employment matters, to California businesses. Business and employment matters have been a focus both in my private practice and during my employment with the County of Placer as a Deputy County Council.
I have 19 years of private practice experience, including 7 years at Sinclair Wilson in Roseville, California and 6 years of Public Law experience as Deputy County Council with the County of Placer.

The more informed a client is on employment law issues, the easier my job is and in all likelihood, the fewer employment law issues and problems they will have.
I routinely review employment related documents drafted by my clients.
I will advise clients regarding the applicable law and assist them whenever I can. However, there are limitations when it comes to practicing law and assisting individuals who are not licensed attorneys.
I always believed that attorneys had an opportunity to help people with their problems. Only when I became a lawyer did I see how true this was.
Being both an employee and an employer has helped me to understand my clients. Additionally, trying to focus on problem solving has helped me to be a better lawyer.
Employment disputes can often be resolved with knowledgeable people trying to focus on solutions rather than disagreements, and most employers have issues with employment law at some point. These problems can usually be solved with effort and preplanning.
Being able to solve problems before they become lawsuits.
My practice involves assisting California businesses in the Employment Relations and Employment Law areas, which continue to be strong and growing parts of our firm.
Problem solving is a particular strength of mine as well as being able to explain sometimes complex matters in an easily understood fashion.
I am open and focused on communication. I try to be proactive to avoid problems rather than focusing on problems only when they arise.
I enjoy spending time with my family and three sons. I'm also active in rotary activities and enjoy being outdoors and traveling.
