Business Law
I prefer representing small companies, start-up companies, and companies that have occasional needs and issues but do not require a full-time lawyer. I also enjoy working with individuals with business issues and clients forming one or more business entities.
Real Estate
Property investors, clients with leasing issues, clients negotiating real estate transactions, and individuals involved in real estate disputes or who need assistance with real estate litigation.
Employment & Labor Relations
Small employers with employment issues, individuals negotiating employment contracts or severance packages, and new companies seeking to establish employment policies and procedures.

I have also published other articles on issues involving trust and estate planning, business law and use of the Unfair Business Practice Act.
Makoff v. Worth, Case No. 03CC0569. Plaintiff claimed significant loss of earnings and breach of contract but dismissed her case after my deposition.
Davis v. Assaf, Case No. KC 037963. I obtained a defense verdict after trial on dental malpractice, battery and Unfair Business Practice Act claims.
Sedeghat v. Molayem. Case No. BC 211246. I obtained dismissal from the Court after plaintiff's numerous trial witnesses failed to support his case or retreated on cross-examination.
Whitener v. Whittaker, Case No. 786752. I obtained a defense award at binding arbitration against a plaintiff claiming deafness and significant injuries.
Aside from these and other cases, I have formed numerous business entities, successfully assisted clients with avoiding litigation and assisted clients with estate planning.

The firm was established in February 2006. However, I have 16 years of experience and significant expertise as a litigator in business law at two large, well-established firms. I have handled a large number of complicated cases and legal transactions and have acted as general counsel to several businesses and professional clients. I have dedicated myself to professionally and efficiently representing my business and personal clients and to providing the highest level of service to my clients. I handle legal matters involving businesses, real estate companies, building contractors, homeowners, investors, professionals and individual clients with legal needs.
In 1990, before passing the Bar exam on the first attempt, I accepted a position with a large Los Angeles firm and relocated to Los Angeles. Thereafter, I gained significant expertise as a litigator and in business law at two large, well-established firms.
I serve on the Development Committee of my son's school, I am a fraternal organization officer, a member of the Rotary Club and am involved in charity. I also recently served on the Board of my Homeowners' Association. Finally, I am on the Board of SOS Nigeria, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charity, for which I handled all of the application paperwork.
I believe that it is wise to do so and I advise my clients to educate themselves about legal issues because it helps them not only understand aspects of their case but it helps them understand the advice of their lawyer.
I am very willing to review documents prepared by clients because oftentimes it helps me deal with their legal needs and avoid legal problems.
I'm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves because often formal representation is not necessary, particularly when it comes to small matters.
I am fascinated with the law and how the law is applied to different situations and disputes. I also enjoy negotiating contracts and assisting small businesses.
It is the everyday interaction with clients who have a variety of legal needs and the constant interaction with other attorneys, the courts and legal issues that make me a better lawyer.
I chose my specialties because I enjoyed those areas of law and had a lot of clients who asked me to assist them in those areas.
I enjoy working with clients--some of them have become friends.
I have a professional, dedicated staff that also enjoys what they do.
I have strong interpersonal relationships and I remain calm in any type of situation. I am always involved with my clients' concerns and interests.
Easy-going, calm, personable, disarming.
My family and the outdoors--I am a soccer coach, and I like bicycle riding and hiking.
