The Law Offices of Vernon L. Ellicott are located in Westlake Village and Valencia California. We are a small firm dedicated to giving clients personal service in very emotional areas of legal need since 1996. We provide a broad range of legal services to both individual and business clients throughout the state of California.

My firm is a full service law firm, representing and advising clients in the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy, Select Personal Injury Cases and Select Criminal Law Cases.

We possess high academic credentials, maintain strong community ties, are committed to the pursuit of excellence, communicate effectively, and demonstrate the strictest personal and professional ethics as well as the utmost concern for our clients. We utilize state-of-the-art technology and cost-effective methods to provide services in a timely, client-oriented manner and ethical, friendly, and professional environment. Our approach focuses on each client's background, needs, and goals, and we are committed to responding promptly to telephone calls, to reporting on cases regularly, and to minimizing and eliminating risk by informing clients of significant changes in the law. Previously, I worked for firms in downtown Los Angeles until I became a sole practitioner in 1996 at the Westlake Office. We opened the Valencia office in 1998.

I think that client education is good; however, I, as an attorney, can help them view the bigger picture.

It gives me the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

I have broad experience, and I work a lot. It is my wealth of experience that helps me to be a better lawyer.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Not everyone can do family law but for some reason I am good at it, and I enjoy helping people who are going through problems. As their lawyer, it is a way that I can help.

What do you like best about your career?

I like most that I get to make a difference in people's lives.

We are a boutique type firm that focuses on client needs and helping clients who are struggling to make sense of life when it falls apart.

What are your strengths and style?

I am good in court, and I'm good at dealing with people.

I'm flexible, and I tailor my style according to the needs of each individual client.

I'm a cyclist, and I enjoy my Harley, church and family (6 kids of my own).
