What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I strongly appreciate educated clients as they are typically more efficient to work with.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes, however, reviewing (and editing) documents prepared by clients often takes more time (and fees) than our preparing documents from the start.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No. Such arrangements seldom produce positive results.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I decided to become a lawyer in order to protect the rights of others. This purpose continues to drive my interest in being a lawyer.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My professional work experience prior to entering the practice of law has included extensive business dealings involving varied intellectual properties.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Having worked in diverse industries from information technologies to snowboards distribution, I appreciate the value of intellectual property. Protecting these intangible assets has become my passion.

I enjoy working with creative and innovative clients most.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
