What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I'm strongly in favor and work with clients to educate them on current legal issues regarding their case.

Yes.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
No. I don't feel that it's in the clients' best interest in the old adage, "He who represents himself is a fool for a client."
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Watching a father and two brothers practice law inspired me to help others as they have done.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
Any work and experience that helps you to learn to think logically and analytically. Experience in writing well is a big plus. Learning about people and the ability to relate well to them is a significant benefit, too.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
I became a litigation attorney, because my personality seemed to handle the pressures of litigation well.
What do you like best about your career?
I enjoy the opportunity to really make a difference in my clients' lives, assisting the underdog, seeking justice.
Tell us about your law firm:
Our goal is to help as many people as we can, in any way that we can. Sometimes that means representing them in reference to various legal matters as their attorneys. Sometimes it means providing them with information and the tools necessary to help themselves. Other times it means referring them to another firm or agency that is better equipped than we to handle the particular problem.
When you first enter one of our offices, you will know that our attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members genuinely care about you and your legal concerns. Our growth over the years can largely be attributed to our determination to give each client's case the individual attention it needs and deserves. If we cannot give it that attention we will tell you so. We do not take cases unless we feel we can devote the resources necessary to attend to them properly.
What are your strengths and style?
At Ledger & Associates, we are large enough to serve your needs and small enough to care about you on a personal level and show you the respect that you deserve. You will be represented by an attorney, not a "processor." While one attorney and that attorney's staff are assigned primary responsibility for your case, you will have the skill and experience of our entire staff of attorneys and legal professionals available to assist with your case.
