I regularly engage in continuing legal education on a variety of topics. The majority of such education, however, focuses on litigation, employment and business matters.
I have successfully tried numerous employment and business trials before judges and juries. I recently settled an employment matter short of arbitration for more than $140,000.

I founded this practice in 2002. It has grown steadily since then representing both employers and employees in litigation matters.
I was mentored by some of the finest lawyers in the country at the business litigation boutique firm: Mazzarella, Dunwoody & Caldarelli (now Mazzarella Caldarelli). My mentors there were trained at firms including Latham & Watkins, Gray Cary (now DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary), and Luce Forward, among others. I also worked for a large San Diego law firm: Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch. Before that I served as a Judicial Extern for United States District Court Judge Thomas J. Whelan in the Southern District of California.

I enjoy working with clients who have educated themselves on legal issues. Such education can often be invaluable to the litigation process.
I am very willing to review such documents. In fact, I frequently encourage my clients to prepare chronologies of the events resulting in the litigation.
I have worked behind the scenes with clients who need legal advice in connection with representing themselves. I am always willing to consider this as an alternative to more traditional representation.
I have always been an advocate. It was a natural career choice.
I have worked for companies ranging from our family business to international corporations and in law firms both large and small. These experiences allow me to understand that the perspective of different business can be vastly different and that each often requires a totally different approach to their litigation needs.
I find that this field of law is highly engaging and very challenging.
I enjoy the opportunity to help employers and employees resolve their disputes with one another. I particularly enjoy actual trial work and often am involved in between one and three trials every year.
My support staff is always there when I need them with fantastic, fast, and thorough work.
I have the ability both to understand complex legal topics and to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people. I find this to be particularly important when facing a litigator's most important task, persuading a jury that my client should win the case.
I am aggressive, efficient and ethical.
In my leisure time I enjoy snow skiing, spending time with my family and computer games.
