Since commencing my law practice in 1986, I have handled cases involving all aspects of insurance and business litigation, with primary emphases on business torts, trademark/copyright infringement and franchise controversies, including alleged violation of franchise investment laws. I have also handled many professional conduct cases, including quasi-criminal actions brought by government agencies, sexual harassment claims, malpractice suits, and administrative proceedings brought against licensed professionals such as realtors, appraisers, contractors, and notaries.
I have also handled large investigations relating to FTC violations, insurance fraud, employee embezzlement and related claims.

I encourage it to some degree. I've seen it get out of hand though, when people get erroneous or irrelevant information from the internet.
I encourage it. Lots of litigation has been spawned by a poorly drafted document.
None. I encourage client involvement, but I foremost believe in Abe Lincoln's old addage about Pro Se lawyers having foolish clients. Additionally, my services are priced based upon my skill and experience as a trial attorney, not a teacher or a coach.
I wanted to work in a court room… and being a trial attorney seemed like the best job description a courtroom has to offer.
My training in behavioral science and martial arts has been a priceless asset in litigation. Beyond that, I relate to what the jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie once said: "It's taken me my whole life to learn what NOT to play."
It was more a situation where my practice area chose me. I did commercial art when I was a kid, and I got swindled out of some copyright royalties. I also did some design work for a political campaign in L.A. The candidate stiffed me, and I went after him big time. So, my practice area combines all the things I love: Behavioral science, martial arts, music, literature, technology and art.
Outside of court work, I enjoy problem solving the most; cracking the code.
All great people, most of us came from the same big firm in Sacramento.
Strategy. Results. Thinking outside the box.
Solution/results oriented. Direct. Efficient. No nonsense. No frills.
Beyond what I've stated above, I enjoy bicycling, motorcycles, traveling and jazz music.
