Activities and Awards

I counsel individuals and businesses on the proper development of budgets and profit and loss statements.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I encourage clients to educate themselves on their legal issues. Such clients have more realistic attitudes towards dispute resolutions.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I do not oppose reviewing client documents but it is done on a case by case basis.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will not coach clients unless it is at the small claims level. Any, more substantive, litigation should be pursued by experienced and licensed attorneys and not a mere surrogate.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Between the ages of 12 and 14, I would visit, during the summer, a branch of the small claims court that was located in my neighborhood. I would sit for hours listening to complaints and how they were resolved by the Judge. I never lost this interest and I suspect this experience subconsciously drew me to the law.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

In my nearly 25 years as a practicing attorney I have practiced in a multitude of areas which allowed me to develop a unique perspective in debt resolution.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Financial stress, which often times is an event beyond the average persons control, is a debilitating condition. It is one of the few practice areas were an attorney can see immediate and positive results for their clients.

What do you like best about your career?

I enjoy eliminating debt and giving a "fresh start" to my individual and business clients.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner with one main office and two satellite offices. My case load is manageable because I have an excellent legal secretary.

What are your strengths and style?

I am a good listener and patient with my clients during a time when they are undergoing great financial stress. I go to great length to try to calm my clients, assure them that they are not alone and that I, as well as the legal system, can help reduce their debt.

I am professional, yet able to comfortably communicate with my clients, leaving them with a sense of hope and assurance.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with my grandchildren.
