I have authored chapters for Lawyers and Judges and the ATLA Journal.
Zeeb v. WCAB, a California Supreme Court Case which created the right for a worker to select his own treatment provider where the employer failed to comply with the law and does not allow the employer to reassert control.
Granado v WCAB 69 C 2d 399, which established the right for a worker to have the treatment needed paid for by the employer even where a portion of that treatment may be required due to the presence of a concomitant cause.
Adams v. WCAB 22 CA 3d 214, which established the right to have compensation for the loss of earning power resulting from a prophylactic restriction.

My law firm has over 35 years dedicated to helping injured people.
I was a partner in the Law Firm of Maurice S. Marcus, followed by association with Levy, DeRoy Geffener and Van Bourg, and finally since November 1, 1972 until the present, the Founding and Senior Partner of Rucka, O'Boyle, Lombardo & McKenna.

Is always advisable to be knowledgeable about issues affecting you.
We give all new or potential clients one half hour free consultation in the areas of our firm's specialty. The areas are Workers' Compensation, Social Security and Personal Injury.
To the extent that we advise clients in the first half an hour, we are willing. However, because of Errors and Omissions coverage we will not proceed beyond that point.
I became a lawyer because I wanted to help workers.
I worked at a fruit cannery packing fruit and doing day labor, I worked as a carpenter's helper and I served in the U.S. Army. All of these work experiences help me to be a better lawyer.
I started off doing criminal defense and personal injury law and found that I enjoyed Workers' Compensation law more.
I like most helping workers and leveling the playing field between the insurance companies and the injured workers.
There are a total of seven partners and four associates. The average length of service of the partners is 16.5 years with the oldest tier of four being together more than 25 years. There are about 33 non lawyers with the average longevity of all about 14 years with many having been with us for more than 20 years. We have Spanish speakers and are gender/age diversified.
I have knowledge of legal medicine and have successful trial skills.
Unique and effective.
Reading history and politics, traveling to different places to learn about different cultures.
