Business Law
I want to learn about different types of business to help them become successful. When handling "wine law" cases, I prefer clients that own or run a winery. I also like to work with people involved in the production of wine to help them from the ground-up in building their winery and business and protecting it. When working with intellectual property clients, I prefer either new business or established businesses seeking to protect their creations, ideas, etc.

I am a solo practitioner. I prefer the personal interaction of dealing with my clients and getting to know them and their businesses.
Previously, I was employed at Accenture and the Department of Justice.
I am a board of the Sunnyvale Downtown Association, a nonprofit created to benefit the local merchants and historic downtown Sunnyvale. I am licensed by the law Society of England and Wales. This makes me a commonwealth solicitor.
I adamantly believe that clients should educate themselves on legal issues.
I do not mind reviewing documents, but I will always have a client sign a waiver indicating that I merely reviewed the document..
It is my policy that I will not coach clients on how to represent themselves. It is my firm belief that litigation should be handled by a trained practitioner.
I enjoy the problem-solving nature of the work. As an attorney, I have acquired special knowledge and skills, which allow me provide solutions to problems people may encounter.
My experiences as an Immigration Officer and at Accenture, which were essentially problem solving, taught me to be a good listener and very detail-oriented. I believe that my exposure to various situations, often stressful ones, allows me to be calm in the storm and deliberate upon a solution.
It's the creativity of businesses and the energy that entrepreneurs have that really excites me.
My work is challenging and I like to meet people from various backgrounds.
I am the only person in my office. As such, I can be more hands-on.
I am very relaxed and casual in my interactions with people. However, I want to help people become successful and resolve their legal dilemmas.
I enjoy swimming, pool, snooker, hiking, gardening, and kayaking.
