I represented a foreign national in a criminal investigation involving passport and visa fraud. The case was resolved in the client's favor, the government did not indict my client. Recently, I represented a U.S. citizen in a Missouri adoption proceeding involving of an adoption of a child from the former Soviet Union. I represented several clients in federal court litigation against the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI in a mandamus action. The government settled the case and awarded my client's immigration benefits they sought.

We represent employers in obtaining immigrant and non-immigrant work visas, individuals in obtaining family visas for relatives abroad, and foreign students and trainees in seeking visas to pursue their respective endeavors in the United States. We have been extremely successful in immigration litigation involving adjudication of delayed naturalization and adjustment of status applications in federal courts. In addition, we work closely with foreign nationals facing criminal convictions, to minimize the negative impact of criminal violations on their immigration history.
I launched my own practice in 2006 when I realized that after several years of practice with big national law firms I accumulated significant knowledge, experience and confidence to become successful in my own practice.
In the past, I worked for Stinson Morrison Hecker, LLP and Bryan Cave, LLP as an immigration and business attorney.
2005 Recipient of the St. Louis Business Journal award "40 Most Influential Business People under 40" in the St. Louis Metropolitan area for dedicated assistance to immigrants.
I respect well-educated clients.
I will review the clients' documents.
I am willing to help clients to represent themselves. When client's case is complex I usually recommend hiring an immigration attorney.
I moved to the United States at the age of 25, after graduating Summa Cum Laude from University of Tula, Russia. I completed a paralegal program in the United States and started working for a big national law firm. I loved the intellectual aspect and fast pace of legal profession. But the most rewarding aspect for me is to see my clients happy when their legal goals are reached. Once I realized that I enjoy learning about the law and applying it to my clients' situation, the decision to pursue law school was easy and natural.
My academic achievements, work experience, continuing education in the area of immigration law, as well as cultural background and honesty help me every day to better serve my clients. Being an immigrant from Russia, I have experienced firsthand the U.S. immigration process. Thus, I can relate to my clients and I fully understand their needs and goals.
Being a U.S. trained lawyer and having an accent, clients always asked me questions related to immigration law. That's how I started developing a niche in immigration law. I find immigration law to be complex, intellectually stimulating and emotionally rewarding.
I love to see my clients happy when they get their immigration benefits. I enjoy helping people. I love the fact that my clients appreciate my work and are part of my success as an attorney.
I work with a partner, who I respect and consider a member of my team. Together we have a wealth of knowledge to devote to our clients to get the best possible results for them.
Our strengths and success are based on simple but very effective principles: establishing a rapport with the client, defining the attorney-client relationship and scope of representation, gathering facts about the client's case, reviewing relevant facts, identifying and researching relevant law, explaining the law to the client, identifying and ranking the client's goals, creating realistic expectations, assessing potential risks, choosing the best strategy for the client's immigration problem and providing the best course of action at a reasonable price.
