The firm of Kahn Gordon Timko & Rodriques is a premier New York Personal Injury Law firm promoting public safety through the civil justice system by holding corporations, businesses, government agencies, individuals, hospitals and doctors accountable for full and fair compensation for harms, injuries and losses resulting from unsafe conditions in buildings, sidewalks, subways, products, construction sites, scaffolds, ladders, cranes, equipment, tools, unsafe driving of cars, trucks, buses, taxis, trailers, trains, boats and airplanes and unsafe medical care.
The firm was founded in 1998 when I joined the firm of Kahn & Gordon to become managing partner. The firm of Kahn & Gordon had represented seriously injured parties for over 25 years. Founding partner Myron Kahn is well known throughout the Courts in New York City as a fierce advocate for his clients.
Prior to joining my current firm, I represented seriously injured parties through the law office of Nicholas I. Timko, P.C. for over ten years.
AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, New York Super Lawyers 2008 and 2009, and Million Dollar Advocate Forum. Currently serve as a Dean on the New York Trial Lawyers Institute for continuing legal education, American Association for Justice (AAJ) Advocate and a member of AAJ Leaders Forum.
While it is critical to retain a skilled and experienced attorney to represent you, I find that educating my clients about the general requirements of the law helps the client make more informed decisions and provide me with the information needed to prove the claim.
All legal documents are prepared by the attorneys. Documents prepared by clients are reviewed by attorneys to obtain necessary information.
We have, on occasion, advised clients in prosecuting small claims or similar matters. However, we recommend that on substantial matters an attorney should be retained.
Growing up, I saw many people treated unfairly by corporations and wealthy individuals and saw how the justice system can help insure fairness and justice for everyone.
While obtaining my education, I worked in many different positions from paper boy and restaurant bus boy to sanitation worker and postal worker. I believe that all these experiences have shown me the value of hard work and taught me to respect everyone for their unique contribution to society. Since I represent individuals from all walks of life who have suffered serious injuries, I can understand their struggles and be a better advocate for them in court.
I find personal satisfaction in helping individuals in their fight for full and fair compensation. I also enjoy the trial process in a well-prepared case.
The many interesting people I meet and the diversity of the circumstances that cause them to look for help from an attorney. As a trial attorney, I have learned about construction sites and equipment, buildings, engineering, driving, subways, buses, trucks, trains, airplanes, boats, the practice of medicine, medications, manufacturing and many other things.
I am a partner in a small law firm with a full support staff. We are small enough to provide personal service to all of our clients but large enough to have the resources to fully prosecute any case through a trial, jury verdict and appeal.
I believe that we provide the highest quality representation for our clients in a generally relaxed atmosphere. While not every case can result in a recovery, being fully prepared for every case we are not intimidated by the prospect of a trial and can get the most favorable settlement or verdict for our clients.
I enjoy all sports, especially skiing, scuba diving, bicycling and also theater, arts and reading.
