The firm was founded in 1998 when I joined the firm of Kahn & Gordon to become managing partner. The firm of Kahn & Gordon had represented seriously injured parties for over 25 years. Founding partner Myron Kahn is well known throughout the Courts in New York City as a fierce advocate for his clients.

Previous Employment Summary

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

While it is critical to retain a skilled and experienced attorney to represent you, I find that educating my clients about the general requirements of the law helps the client make more informed decisions and provide me with the information needed to prove the claim.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

All legal documents are prepared by the attorneys. Documents prepared by clients are reviewed by attorneys to obtain necessary information.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We have, on occasion, advised clients in prosecuting small claims or similar matters. However, we recommend that on substantial matters an attorney should be retained.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Growing up, I saw many people treated unfairly by corporations and wealthy individuals and saw how the justice system can help insure fairness and justice for everyone.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

While obtaining my education, I worked in many different positions from paper boy and restaurant bus boy to sanitation worker and postal worker. I believe that all these experiences have shown me the value of hard work and taught me to respect everyone for their unique contribution to society. Since I represent individuals from all walks of life who have suffered serious injuries, I can understand their struggles and be a better advocate for them in court.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I find personal satisfaction in helping individuals in their fight for full and fair compensation. I also enjoy the trial process in a well-prepared case.

What do you like best about your career?

The many interesting people I meet and the diversity of the circumstances that cause them to look for help from an attorney. As a trial attorney, I have learned about construction sites and equipment, buildings, engineering, driving, subways, buses, trucks, trains, airplanes, boats, the practice of medicine, medications, manufacturing and many other things.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a partner in a small law firm with a full support staff. We are small enough to provide personal service to all of our clients but large enough to have the resources to fully prosecute any case through a trial, jury verdict and appeal.

What are your strengths and style?

I believe that we provide the highest quality representation for our clients in a generally relaxed atmosphere. While not every case can result in a recovery, being fully prepared for every case we are not intimidated by the prospect of a trial and can get the most favorable settlement or verdict for our clients.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy all sports, especially skiing, scuba diving, bicycling and also theater, arts and reading.
