I am a legal and business professional who understands the time sensitive nature of most business decisions. Our clients seek advice and assistance in both legal matters and business operational concerns. Houston-based, I understand business - having worked in the business arena for many years as a business owner, a business consultant, and in management. The focus of the firm remains to meld business decisions with legal opinions in both individual and business matters. I communicate the legal issues and the proposed solutions to each client in order to assist in making the best and most cost-effective decision.
The Law Firm of Kristin M. Galik was established in December 2008 to represent individuals as well as small and mid-sized business owners in a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to business law, corporate law, and contract drafting and negotiation.
I have years of decision-making and problem solving experience in both business management positions, consulting roles, and legal positions. Throughout these years of experience, my abilities have helped companies to increase annual profits, while at the same time reducing budgets through office efficiencies, document management and project management solutions.
Selected for Cambridge Who's Who 2009.
It is my belief that each client should be comfortable with all legal decisions, as it impacts their lives and their businesses. Therefore, I will work with clients to ensure that they have an understanding of the process, the decisions to be made and the benefits and detriments that each legal decision could potentially have for my clients.
I will review client prepared documents.
I will provide initial direction to clients that chose to represent themselves in ongoing matters.
As a business owner and consultant, I began spending more time with legal professionals and decided that I needed the legal knowledge to continue to grow and provide my clients with better services. I intended to return to consulting upon completion of law school, but realized the benefits of being able to put the two together and help my clients and their businesses in making the best decisions for their businesses and future growth.
My work and life experiences enable me to solicit the best possible solutions in a business deal, as well as resolve or address issues in a confident, forthright manner.
I love business and the law. In my own business experience the two are extremely connected, which has led me to meld my prior business experience with a legal practice to provide advice and solutions to my clients that are based in both a business and legal perspective.
The benefit of a transactional practice is that people generally come to you when they are developing, implementing or forming their lifelong ambition to own a company. I love being able to see new business ventures grow and thrive. Plus, I receive the benefit of learning new industries, new technologies, and helping develop new business models.
I am a solo practitioner, so clients deal directly with me.
My strengths remain centered around my commitment to work and family. I want my clients to feel that I am accessible to them to answer questions and help provide guidance as they need it and to build an ongoing relationship.
My personal interests primarily include reading, listening to music, watching college sports, and scuba diving.
