Criminal Defense
Criminal and municipal matters.
NJ, May 2002
New Jersey State and Federal Courts.
Monmouth County Bar Association.
I attend seminars on Criminal Defense, Municipal practices and DWI.
I represented an individual charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault. The assault was considered "aggravated" due to the young age of the alleged victim, therefore, Megan's Law would have applied. I was able to collect relevant information and presented it to the State. My client was then offered Pre-Trial Intervention. The client not only avoided Megan's Law but also a criminal record.
I represented an individual charged with Terrorist Threats and Aggravated Assault against a police officer. I was able to obtain evidence that persuaded the Prosecutor to remand the case to municipal court. I was then able to get the matter dismissed in municipal court.

The firm's mission is to obtain justice and superior results for every client. From the initial consultation to a case's end, I have direct communication with my clients. I am selective in the cases that I take, therefore, I am able to return telephone calls and emails promptly. I make it a priority to keep each client informed of his or her case's progress through every stage. It becomes clear to my clients that I enjoy practicing criminal law and am passionate about getting the best possible resolution.
The firm was established in 2007. Throughout my career, I have handled both indictable and non-indictable offenses. I have a wide range of experience dealing with a variety of criminal matters, including felony charges such as drug offenses, sexual and aggravated assault charges as well as municipal, traffic and DWI matters. I am also quite familiar with handling juvenile matter.
I started by legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Donald J. Volkert, Jr., the current Assignment Judge for Passaic County. Following my clerkship, I took a position as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in Union County. Years later, I was reassigned to a trial court in Monmouth County. I then moved to the private sector where I have been able to continue fighting hard for my clients.
I educate my clients regarding legal issues so that they can make informed decisions. My philosophy is that once my clients understand the law, possible defenses, and the possible legal outcomes, then they are better able to make the right decision.
I always insist on reviewing discovery and other legal documents with my clients. It is imperative that my clients understand the legal process in order to make informed decisions. The first step in this process is reviewing all documents related to the case.
I would assist a pro se client if he or she decided that they wanted to represent themselves.
I was interested in learning more about the criminal justice system so that I could help protect people's rights.
As a public defender, I represented people who could not afford private representation. I handled a variety of different types of cases.
I realized early on that my passion lay in practicing criminal law. I always knew that I wanted to be in a legal position where I could defend individuals charged with crimes.
I love using my knowledge of the law as a means to help others.
I am a solo practitioner.
I am extremely conscientious and always working on my cases. I am extremely comfortable in the courtroom.
