Legal Helpers, PC was founded in Chicago, Illinois and has been headquartered in the Sears Tower in downtown Chicago to this day.
Prior to my employment with Legal Helpers, PC, I worked for about 1 year as a contract attorney representing clients in filing for bankruptcy in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases. Prior to that, I worked as an attorney in securities litigation. While in law school, I worked as n legal intern for a Fortune-100 brokerage firm. Upon graduation, I had the privilege of being selected as the only first-year attorney within firm's 300+ member global Law Division. As a litigator, I successfully defended 100% of the cases I tried.
Volunteer Attorney, Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and Family Law Project.
I believe that all clients should educate themselves on the legal issues affecting their cases. That is why our firm provides the tools and information necessary for clients to educate themselves on our website. I highly encourage all clients and potential clients to visit our website, www.LegalHelpers.com, for all of their bankruptcy questions.
We will review any and all documents pertinent to representing a client in bankruptcy.
We are willing to provide advice to clients unable to pay our fees and direct them to resources that may be helpful.
It was something that I had always known I wanted to do since I was little. It is a career that constantly challenges me and a great way to help people.
All of my experiences added together have made me a better lawyer. You can't just limit it to one, you need the work and life experience to build on the education. No matter how long a person has been practicing law, there is always some new law or factual circumstance to surprise him/her. It is how you learn to handle these things that make you a better lawyer.
I worked for many years depending corporate clients against individuals. There were times where I felt like I was picking on the little people and it didn't feel good. I chose bankruptcy because it was a way to help individuals in need.
At the end of the day, I can now feel good about what I do.
We have a great team in the San Francisco and San Jose offices. In addition to myself, we have two other attorneys in our offices - Mari Zang and Cheryl Barnard. They are both very good at what they do and they work very hard to meet the individual needs of all of our clients. Also, contributing to the success of these two offices are the excellent support of our assistants, Kristina Stangl, Suni Ramirez and Katie Rose.
I love to travel and to see new places. I also like to try new things. I am also a big martial arts fan and my goal is to be able to obtain my black belt in the next several years.
Suni Ramirez and Kristina Stangl.
