Wills, Trusts & Estates
Clients who desire a more holistic approach to estate planning.

I teach continuing education seminars for the National Business Institute, and attend continuing legal education seminars on the topics of estate planning, trusts, probates, business planning.
Client comes in with a trust form they completed from the internet. I am able to tell them that first just completing the form is not enough. All their assets have to be titled in the right way for the trust to work properly. I then also inform them that the form is barely meeting their legal, tax, and asset protection needs. We end up redoing their plan and properly titling all their assets.
Recently had a client, who was concerned about a potential $750,000 law suit. We were able to discuss with the client how to set up a Nevada Asset protected Trust and Nevada LLC to fully and completely safeguard their assets.
Client recently died with a 15 million dollar estate, from a plan we didn't create, where many of the assets were not properly titled in the right way. We are now handling the trust administration and the probate that was caused from a plan that was no kept up to date and not properly 'funded.'

Our firm was established in 1994 and has been helping families with their trust, estate planning, trust administration, probate, and business needs for the last 16 years.
I started as a solo practitioner with the Law Offices of Gerald Kane and this firm transitioned to the firm it is today.
Trustee of Granada Hills Hospital Foundation, treasurer head of the nominating committee. Board Member of the Dubnoff Center, a school that is a pioneer for Special Needs.
I believe that our clients should educate themselves by attending our seminars, visiting our website, or reviewing other websites and articles on the internet. Having a solid understanding of the issues makes the decision making process smoother.
I will review documents prepared by clients at my standard hourly rate.
I would be willing to assist clients with some of the issues that arise in a probate, trust administration, etc.
I decided to become a lawyer, as I really enjoy working with people and assisting them with their legal needs. It is a great feeling when our clients know that they have received the 'best' plan they could put in place and leave with such peace of mind. In fact, we have so many raving reviews from all our clients, which you can review on our website at ww.estplan.com.
I have become a better lawyer through my 16 years of experience. This experience has allowed me to see why plans fail and ensure that we have a system in place to prevent our plans from failing. In addition, I recently lost my spouse and know firsthand what clients feel when they go through the grieving process and can empathize from a whole different understanding now.
I chose estate planning as I enjoy working with people. I enjoy the more black and white area of the law, and dealing with the tax issues that arise.
As a Personal Family Lawyer, I like best that I have a whole support team behind me and that we have a complete systemized practice to ensure that our clients' needs are met expediently and correctly. In addition, I love that my clients are so satisfied with our firm that they say things like, "there isn't a single thing you could have done different or better."
We have a whole team, including Sylvia who is an attorney and heads up our trust administration department, Premini, our Plan Coordinator Paralegal, and Susan, our Clients Services Director.
I believe my strength is my ability to work with almost any personality. I am very patient and am also a good listener.
I enjoy skiing, hiking, swimming, boating, and any activity involving physical activity and adventure.
Susan, Client Services Director.
