We devote our practice entirely to the areas of criminal defense and bankruptcy.
The Law Office of Jerry R. Lowe was established in 2006.
I was admitted to the California Bar in 2004 after graduating from the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University. During law school, I was privileged to serve as an extern for the Honorable Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, as well as clerk for one of Ohio's finest bankruptcy firms.
A native Californian, I returned from Ohio to work as an associate for Deitrich, Glasrud, Mallek and Aune in their transactional business law department. I then moved from transactional law into litigation for the criminal defense firm now known as Ciummo & Associates until 2006, when I opened the Law Office of Jerry R. Lowe.
I currently serve as an executive board member and general counsel for Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) International.
We make every effort to help our clients understand all relevant legal issues involved in their case so that they are able to make decisions toward a favorable resolution.
We view our clients' input as an invaluable ingredient toward accomplishing their outcome goals and welcome their assistance.
I will discuss with potential clients the pros and cons of representing themselves in their situation, so the client can make an informed decision. At the point potential clients decide to represent themselves, for liability concerns I cannot provide legal advice or coaching.
I realized this was the area that I could use my abilities to help people.
As far back as I can remember, I have been extremely competitive at everything I have done. That competitiveness has translated into aggressive lawyering on behalf of my clients and provided them with every opportunity for a favorable resolution to their case. In addition, the work ethic I have developed as a small business owner and throughout my education has prepared be to be a successful practitioner.
I didn't. It chose me, and as it turns out, I enjoy criminal defense and bankruptcy. In both of these areas of practice, I am often times the only one on my client's side. It is rewarding to obtain success against the odds.
I love to learn and this career requires me to learn every day.
I have a cheerful paralegal who is very attentive and effective at assisting my clients.
So many times, clients are left in the dark wondering about the status of their case and what the plan is for obtaining the desired result in their case. I listen to my clients and then walk them through the entire case, explaining what I will do and how I need them to be involved.
I enjoy backpacking, camping, hunting, fishing and golf.
