The Gorski Firm, APC provides cost effective and high-quality counsel to individuals and businesses in a broad range of practice areas. We provide our clients with the same resources as large firms, without sacrificing individualized attention.
Our legal experience includes Business Entities & Transactions, Bankruptcy, Family Law, Estate Planning, and Personal Injury.
I am experienced in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the bankruptcy code and particularly enjoy helping individuals and businesses obtain financial relief from burdensome debts. I help consumers and businesses either eliminate their debts or repay them under the protection of the bankruptcy court.
My business entities and transactions practice involves handling many different types of contractual and corporate legal matters that affect your business. Whether you are seeking assistance in starting up a business, looking for help with contract drafting or enforcement, debt collection, or litigation, I am dedicated to reaching an effective and efficiently resolution.
My family law practice involves helping individuals tailor solutions to the unique issues of their case. We are dedicated to assisting you with all of your family law matters whether you are seeking pre-nuptial planning, a divorce with or without property division, or assistance with child support/custody.
The goal of our estate planning practice is to facilitate the wealth transfer process and minimize the tax burden of our client's family. I combine tax and estate planning principles and strategies with an understanding of each client's wishes to develop a balanced estate plan. We enjoy developing estate plans for established individuals and families, as well as younger entrepreneurs and professionals who desire to plan their affairs in anticipation of future success.
I left a medium sized firm in Indianapolis, Indiana and founded The Gorski Firm, APC on Traditional Values - Reliability, Integrity, Respect, Trust, and Loyalty. We are committed to the constant reinvigoration of these core values. We are equally zealous about your objectives and assisting you in achieving them.
We are committed to providing high-quality effective legal services, with proven results, and personal responsive attention. We deliver practical result-oriented service with a "no-nonsense" approach to solving disputes and an aggressive, yet considerate, courtroom posture.
When you hire The Gorski Firm, APC, we reduce the stress and time you spend worrying about your legal issues so that you can focus on the things that are most important to you.
Prior to forming The Gorski Firm, APC, I worked for a medium sized commercial litigation, creditor's rights, and bankruptcy firm in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I am a member of the Long Beach, Orange County, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. I am also a lifetime member of the UCLA Alumni Association and Disabled American Veterans.
I enjoy working with clients that take the time to educate themselves on the basic fundamentals of the law and their particular issues. I frequently find that clients who educate themselves are better able to appreciate the experience, knowledge and skill we bring to solving their legal problems. It is important that clients be proactive participants in resolving their case. We find that informed clients make sound decisions throughout the course of litigation.
We are always willing to review client prepared documents and will provide thorough comments and professional input.
We are willing to help clients develop a plan to represent themselves. However, it is rarely in the client's best interest to engage in self representation.
I became a lawyer because I am a passionate and principled person who enjoys advocating for people to preserve their rights.
I took a non-traditional path to become a lawyer. I enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately after high school and was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California for four years. During the last two years of my enlistment, I began undergraduate studies in biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. After completing my military commitment, I continued full time studies at UCLA. During this time, I served as a member of the board of directors for the University Cooperative Housing Association and worked as the associations' Security Manager. After graduating from UCLA in 2002, I worked as a legal assistant for a law firm in Los Angeles for one year prior to attending law school.
These experiences help me bring a "real life" and business perspective to solving my client's issues both in court and around the negotiation table. In addition, as a result of my military service, I am especially sensitive to, and able to assist with, the unique demands and stress placed on military families.
I have five areas of practice - Business Entities and Transactions; Bankruptcy; Family Law; Estate Planning; and Personal Injury.
I decided to practice in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, and personal injury in order to help clients deal with some of the most difficult and troubling times of their lives. It is extremely stressful to deal with financial hardship, complex and changing family relations, and physical injuries. However, with a well developed plan and a dedicated advocate by your side, we can help you through this difficult time so you can focus on the things most important to you, not legal issues.
I decided to practice business law and estate planning because I find these legal areas to be interesting and enjoy handling the challenges that sometimes arise in these cases.
There are several reasons why I especially enjoy practicing law:
(i) The profession provides the opportunity to meet new people and learn about their views and culture, learn new things about areas outside of law (e.g., building, engineering, medicine, etc.), and gain exposure to differing perspectives on issues;
(ii) I enjoy research and writing;
(iii) I like having to think on my feet while in court arguing a case or examining a witness; and
(iv) I enjoy helping and working with people.
We are a small law firm, so while other attorneys or support staff may work on a particular case, all of my clients deal directly with me.
My strengths include traditional values - Reliability, Integrity, Respect, Trust and Loyalty.
When a client entrusts me with their legal needs, I honor their trust with courtesy and a commitment to personal responsive attention. I distinguish myself from other attorneys with unmatched client service. I deliver practical result-oriented service with a "no-nonsense" approach to solving disputes and an aggressive, yet considerate, courtroom posture.
I protect my clients' rights by working hard to get answers and the desired results. When I accept a client, I work on their case the same way I would my own. I do whatever it takes to get the job done to the best of my ability, including staying up late at night and working weekends.
My style in the office is courteous and relaxed. In court, I maintain a professional and considerate demeanor while aggressively and zealously advocating for my client.
I am dedicated to my family and enjoy spending time with them whether it be an outdoor activity or a good movie indoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, and mountain biking.
