What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is very helpful if clients use the internet to learn about bankruptcy issues.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I don't do this. I carefully prepare documents and then review them with my clients.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

None.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I grew up in a family of attorneys. I personally am a fourth generation attorney and have always been interested in the law.

Over 30 years of personally handling thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

My father is a retired federal bankruptcy judge, my great-grandfather practiced bankruptcy law in Peoria, Illinois for over 60 years, and I never really considered any other area of practice.

What do you like best about your career?

Helping people with financial problems turn around their lives.
