What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe it is important for clients to educate themselves on legal issues because this can assist them in making informed decisions on selecting a qualified attorney.

Not applicable.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Bankruptcy is a complicated and specialized area of law, thus I do not believe that in most cases that clients can effectively represent themselves.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I decided to be a lawyer because I wanted a challenging career, and I enjoy working with people. Being a lawyer has allowed me to experience both on a daily basis.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My experience as a former attorney for a Nevada Chapter 13 Bankruptcy attorney allows me to better understand the complete bankruptcy process, and to better serve the interests of my clients.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Bankruptcy is an area of law that provides immediate financial and emotional relief for a client during a very difficult situation.

What do you like best about your career?

My career is very satisfying and rewarding because I help people out of difficult situations every day.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner. I meet with all clients personally, and personally represent them at all hearings during their case. I also have a knowledgeable assistant who is very attentive to the needs of my clients.

What are your strengths and style?

My style and approach to working with clients is straight-forward and no-nonsense. I believe that it is important to properly inform clients of available options, all potential issues, and of their responsibilities to ensure their case is a success.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy attending college and professional sporting events. I like to play golf with friends, and enjoy bike riding with my family.

Fixed-Price Services and Fees

Fixed-prices/flat fees are charged in most cases. A basic Chapter 7 case flat fee is $1,450. A Chapter 13 case flat fee is $4,000, with $1,000 paid direct by the client prior to filing and the balance of $3,000 paid by the Trustee upon confirmation of the plan.

Hourly Rates

The attorney hourly rate is $250.

Typical Retainer

The minimum retainer for a case is $300.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.
