Firm Focus and History

The focus of my practice is Bankruptcy and Family Law.

The firm was established in December 2004.

Previous Employment Summary

I worked for six years as an associate attorney with Law Offices of Mond and Sperling. I handled all types of legal matters including contracts, wills, trusts, criminal, and personal injury. My primary focus with Mond and Sperling was family law (divorce, custody, support) and bankruptcy. I have handled several hundreds of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases from filing through discharge. I have successfully litigated numerous trials in both Federal and State Courts.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I encourage anyone considering filing for bankruptcy to acquire information from any source they feel comfortable. I am happy to answer any questions an individual may have regarding bankruptcy and the possible alternatives to bankruptcy.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I generally do not review documents prepared by clients or third parties.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I generally do not "coach" clients that choose to represent themselves.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I wanted to enter a profession where I could make a positive difference in people's lives as I provide a living for myself and my family.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Over 15 years of experience as a bankruptcy attorney makes me an extremely qualified and competent attorney.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I was introduced to bankruptcy law early in my career and enjoyed being able to help people get a fresh start on their personal finances.

What do you like best about your career?

I like being able to help people resolve major problems in their lives.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me and my assistant Lisa. We understand that the need to file bankruptcy is a difficult, stressful, and often traumatic time in a person's life. Both Lisa and I try and create an atmosphere that is comfortable and sensitive to the needs of our clients.

What are your strengths and style?

I consider myself to be professional, honest, and straightforward with my clients. I will only advise a client to file a bankruptcy, or take any legal action, if I feel it is in their best interest to do so.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy and participate in many sports and outdoor activities, including golf, scuba diving, snow skiing, the beach and basketball.
