Chapter 13 case: My client was one week from losing her house. I successfully confirmed Chapter 13 plan, allowing her to keep her house and cut $15,000 off of her car loan.
Chapter 7 case: several other lawyers told my client he didn't qualify for a Chapter 7. They simply looked at his high income and told him "no." I met with my client, ran the numbers in detail and told him I thought he qualified for Chapter 7 relief. He filed under Chapter 7 and had a successful case.

Our firm focuses on helping consumers in need of bankruptcy or other debtor protection. We provide individualized, personal attention.
The Law Offices of Guy T. Conti, PLLC, were established on February 6, 2008.
I have 2 ½ years experience in a small firm practice as well as experience as an intern at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Pro bono Law Day (Washtenaw County Bar Association).
An educated and prepared client is always an asset. Bankruptcy is hard work for both the client and attorney. Clients who take the time to educate themselves and work their case generally have good outcomes.
I am willing to do so.
I do not think people should represent themselves in bankruptcy. Moreover, there are ethical pitfalls in such coaching so I avoid it.
I became an attorney because I had been a lawyer all my life, I just didn't have the license until 2005.
I became an attorney in mid-life. My real-world experiences, including my own bankruptcy, make me a better attorney.
I have always been interested in bankruptcy, and having one of my own made me realize I want to help financially distressed people.
I like when someone achieves their goals with my help.
I am a solo practitioner with a part-time assistant. Clients almost always deal directly with me. I attempt to return phone calls and e-mails on the same day or the next business day.
I am detail-oriented, personable, and empathetic.
I like reading, golf, team sports, and just relaxing with my wife.
