Ladd, Thomas, Sallee & Adams is located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The office is just across the street from the City County Building. The firm is an association of attorneys (not a partnership). Thus, the lawyers simply share office space and office expenses. Aaron Freeman is a hard working, energetic lawyer who is ready to assist you.

Previous Employment Summary

Aaron Freeman worked as a Marion County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for nearly five years. Aaron prosecuted all level of crimes, from misdemeanors to murder, and serving in the Grand Jury Division, prosecuting white collar crimes and complex investigations. Aaron also served in the homicide unit, prosecuting murder and attempted murder cases.

While in law school, Aaron clerked for Federal District Court Judge Joe Billy McDade, in the Central District of Illinois. He also clerked for the United States Attorney's Office in the Central District of Illinois.

Prior to his legal career, Aaron was an emergency 911 dispatcher in Franklin County, Indiana and an emergency medical technician.

Activities and Awards

Aaron accepts legal work from the Indianapolis Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service and has served as Judge Pro Tem in the Marion County Misdemeanor Court.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

A well-informed client is welcomed. Aaron will work with each client to ensure they are aware of their legal options and how best to get the preferred result.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Aaron will review all material relevant to the case provided by a client. Aaron works hand-in-hand with each client to ensure they are an active participant in the process. Aaron will keep each client informed on their case as they work toward their goal.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Any time someone has to appear in court, Aaron would always advise that person to retain counsel. The law is a complex business with procedural requirements and deadlines. Your complex legal needs are best served by a member of the bar who can represent those needs.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Aaron decided to attend law school to help those in his community. While attending Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, Aaron was active in student government and many other areas of the university. Aaron enjoyed being a problem solver, which lead him to attend law school.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Aaron has a wide range of life experiences. Aaron was an emergency 911 dispatcher in Franklin County, Indiana and an emergency medical technician. Aaron has the best interests of his clients in mind in every decision he makes. Aaron's diverse background and understanding of the court process is an asset to his clients.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Aaron loves the practice of law. Helping others with their problems and assisting them through the legal process is a great honor. Aaron handles a broad range of cases. From criminal law to estate planning and family law matters, he can help you with your legal matter.

What do you like best about your career?

Aaron enjoys working with clients, and getting to know them. He takes cases from all over the state, and enjoys getting to know the people in that community. From a young age, he has been helping people. The practice of law allows him to continue that practice.

Ladd, Thomas, Sallee & Adams is an association of attorneys, not a partnership. Thus, you will deal directly with Aaron. We have a great staff that is very eager and willing to help you. What are your strengths and style?

Aaron prides himself on being a friendly, available, and capable lawyer. Aaron will work one-on-one with his clients, and will even provide his cell phone number in case his clients need to get in touch with him. Aaron is very easy to get along with and will help you with your legal needs.

Personal Interests:

Aaron enjoys sports, and in particular, the Indianapolis Colts. Aaron is also a fan of college basketball. However, Aaron is most excited about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and their football team. Most Saturday afternoons you can either find Aaron in South Bend, Indiana or in front of a television watching the Irish.
