Firm Focus and History

The focus of our firm is to provide affordable, dependable and superior legal representation. Our firm practices only bankruptcy.

Previous Employment Summary

After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin, I became interested in law. I started working for a personal injury attorney and really grew a passion for the career. Helping people get the compensation they deserve from a traumatic accident was a very rewarding experience. I then worked for a bankruptcy law firm in Chicago throughout law school. After moving to Florida from Chicago, I passed the Florida bar exam on the first try and continued my bankruptcy career at one of the biggest bankruptcy law firms in the United States. I recently started working for the Law Offices of Paul L. Urich, P.A. and continue to get people the fresh start they deserve through bankruptcy.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it is great when people can save money by educating themselves on particular legal issues. After all it is a big part of my career to help educate people about saving money and improving their finances. However, bankruptcy law can be extremely complex. It is stressful enough having debt but when you add uncertainty and confusion to the mix it can be a nightmare. It is always best to have an attorney holding your hand through the process.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I may consider this on a case by case basis.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Again, it would have to be on a case by case basis.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Lawyers are the vehicles of change. I have always admired that power and I am grateful to have gone through all the hard work to earn it.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Prior to law school I worked in the Health and Fitness industry helping people get back in shape. Now instead of helping people reach their fitness goals, I help people reach their financial goals. The organizational and motivational skills I learned from my past work experience has helped me become a better lawyer.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Bankruptcy law gives people a second chance. Debt causes stress and I get to erase that stress for my clients. I choose bankruptcy law as my primary area of practice because it feels good to be able to do that.

What do you like best about your career?

Helping people get ahead in life.
