Derbha H. Jones began the firm in June 2002 as a sole practitioner and has since become a Certified Attorney Ad Litem, Certified Mediator, trained in Collaborative Law Divorce, Certified Guardian, and a member of the State Bar College.
Derbha H. Jones is a licensed x-ray technologist with twenty years experience in the area of mammography, cat scan, MRI, routine x-ray, and ultrasound, having obtained such experience prior to becoming an attorney.
Derbha H. Jones has provided pro bono work for clients of North Texas Legal Aid as well as some pro bono work for private clients.
It is my opinion that clients should educate themselves on background experience of the attorney that they consider to retain for their legal needs. Self education of a legal matter could help in the majority of cases, however, legal advice from an attorney could alleviate mistakes that could have been avoided.
I may be willing to review documents.
I may be willing to coach clients, depending on the case.
My goal as a child was to become an attorney. My career took on a different direction early in life, and I entered law school after 20 years in my prior career as an x-ray technologist.
I provide personal attention to my clients and I am available to speak with clients personally to address their legal needs.
I feel that my area of practice chose me due to personal experiences.
I have the ability to assist clients in reaching a resolution without trial.
My office consists of myself, an associate attorney and a wonderful secretary. We are all sensitive to the needs of the clients and personal service is our primary goal.
I have the ability to listen to concerns and point out possible solutions to the problem.
Spending time with family and friends.
