Firm Focus and History

I provide the highest quality, cost-efficient legal representation possible. I am an experienced trial lawyer representing clients in the areas of criminal defense litigation and personal injury.

Prior to opening my own practice I served as a Deputy Prosecutor in one of the busiest jurisdictions in Indiana. My experience in the Lake County Prosecutor's Office has given me the knowledge and expertise of litigating a multitude of criminal offenses. I then opened my private office in 2007.

Previous Employment Summary

I have experience as a Public Defender and as a former Lake County Deputy Prosecutor. Positions both of which have taught me the most effective methods to defend your rights in a court of law. It is my goal to apply my skills in customizing legal strategies that will best meet your needs.

Activities and Awards

I am also legal counsel for the City of East Chicago.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe every client should be well informed of the legal ramifications of their particular issue.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Many of my clients are unfamiliar with the legal process. I will thoroughly explain the legal procedures to you and guide you through this process. Based on my knowledge and experience with local jurisdictions, I will be able to help you anticipate the likely hurdles and the typical outcome of your specific case.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I'm willing to point them in the right direction but I would first advise against it due to the seriousness of their issue. They could be facing possible jail time. It is always best to have expert legal representation.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I have family in the profession and in law enforcement.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I graduated from a great law school where I studied Criminal Law and Trial Procedures. My experience as a former deputy prosecutor was invaluable to my litigation skills and contacts within the jurisdiction that I practice.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

As a former deputy prosecutor, it only makes sense to change sides and use those same skills in my everyday practice.

What do you like best about your career?

Knowing that I'm helping those that really need my counsel.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me.

What are your strengths and style?

I'm honest and straightforward. I'm not a salesman so I don't make promises or guarantees on outcomes of your case but I do make my clients well-informed about their case and with my experiences and contacts, I can predict the possible outcome of your case.

Personal Interests:

I'm trying to take up golf but mostly I like improving and organizing my home with my family.
