I have been an attorney for 14 years and have been practicing workers' compensation law for the past five years. I strongly sympathize with the rights of injured workers and do my best to protect all of their legal rights under the California Labor Code and California Workers' Compensation system.
I started my own workers' compensation practice in February 2007 to represent injured workers.
I began practicing law in 1995 and worked for several general litigation/personal injury firms in the Bakersfield area, including Rodriguez & Associates. I joined the firm of Yohman, Parker, Kern, Nard & Wenzel in 2004 and represented insurance companies and self-insured employers in workers' compensation matters. I then joined the firm of Hinden, Rondeau & Breslavsky in 2005 and began representing injured workers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. I started my own workers' compensation practice in February 2007 and have continued to represent injured workers since that time.
Clients who educate themselves have a better understanding of the legal process and what it will take to resolve their case.
I'll review documents prepared by my client if they are related to the case.

I work on a contingency-fee basis only. I do not charge a client unless there is a settlement or a monetary award in their favor. My fee has to be approved by the workers' compensation judge, who usually awards attorney fees in the range of 15% of the settlement received by the injured employee.
