Over 100 hours in classes focusing on family law. I consistently exceed all requirements required by the State Bar, and I also actively take part in personal research and personal education related to all different aspects of Family Law to ensure I'm up to date.

We work with people from all walks of life -- so our cases involve children or no children, high assets and low assets, employed and self-employed; those from the all over the Bay Area and those from around the world. Our clients are both mothers and fathers, as well as grandparents. The high level of technology in our firm, along with our staffing level, allows us to communicate 24/7 anywhere in the world. Our cases involve a wide variety of issues and, although we do not specialize in any particular area, our two attorneys bring different strengths yet a common style to any case -- the team approach coupled with a high level of personal service is only a part of what makes our downtown firm unique.

Whatley Law Firm is a full service family law practice located in downtown Martinez, California, just a short walk from the courthouse. The firm is devoted almost entirely to the practice of family law, with a small criminal misdemeanor defense practice. We take great pride in the quality of our work and strive to ensure that our service and work product meet the highest professional standards. We provide clients with excellent service and representation and take great pride in our team approach that emphasizes solutions, not problems.
Before I was admitted into the California State Bar, I worked for County Counsel in Hillsboro, Oregon, where I am still currently active in the Bar. Prior to working for County Counsel, I worked for a private attorney practicing personal injury and was one of two lawyers who opened a public interest family law center in Hillsboro, Oregon.

We are all for educated clients. We want clients to be informed on what the real realities are and not pump them up with "fluff." We're truthful and give our clients realistic expectations. We try to educate our clients with how the family law system works; and that it is not always fair.
I will do so; however, I will charge my hourly rate.
No.
I am a truth seeker. I like the intellectual aspect of being a lawyer. My uncle has been a lawyer for over 50 years, and I used to work for him as a little girl; therefore, being an attorney was the career path that I chose and decided to go to law school.
I am a hard worker, and I finish every job I start. I also utilize a lot of my personal education and required classes by the State Bar to assist me with all aspects of my family law practice.
There was a demand for it.
What I like best is seeing the end result on a case where my client was wronged and the wrong was made right.
Everyone within our law firm works as a team, and we try to make a point of when you call our office you speak with a live person and not a voice mail. We have two certified paralegals who are wonderful to work with. We put an emphasis on providing our clients with the best service we can.
I am open-minded. I am all about advocating on my clients' behalf when I feel my client has been wronged. Honesty. I focus on the root of things in order to get a resolution.
Aggressive but truthful. Impeccable.
