Firm Focus and History

The Law Office of Pierce & Associates, P.L. is a full-service business law firm handling both transactional and litigation matters in all state and federal courts. The firm is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the only nationally recognized rating system for attorneys. An AV-rating is reserved for those attorneys whose legal ability is very high to pre-eminent. We believe that our clients are entitled to pragmatic and innovative legal work. We provide more than legal advice. We seek the best legal and practical solution to allow our clients to achieve the most beneficial business and personal objectives.

My practice of law began in 1966. I worked for large law firms until 1971 when I founded my own firm which has been in operation since that time.

Previous Employment Summary

My initial employment involved developing a background in Real Property Law, Wills, Trusts, Estate and Business Planning, and Business Litigation. I continue to work in all of those areas.

Fixed-Price Services and Fees

Estate and corporate planning is best accomplished by using fixed-fee billing. This permits my clients to feel comfortable taking the time necessary to properly plan for their families with a complete understanding of the cost.

Hourly Rates

$350.

Free Initial Consultation?

Initial half hour consultations are billed a flat rate of $150. If I am retained to perform legal services, this amount will be included in the fixed fee quote for those services.

Typical Retainer

I ask that my clients provide a retainer equal to one-half of the quoted fixed fee, with the balance due when the work is completed or when documents are submitted to my clients for review. There may be an additional fee for transfer of assets such as real estate into a trust or other entity.

Understanding Fees
