Husband and Wife signed divorce agreement. Wife had attorney, husband did not. Agreement was unfair to Husband on many levels. Husband hires my office before the 90-day Nisi period ends to contest the agreement. Once in court, we were able to successfully modify certain provisions of the agreement for a more equitable resolution.
Husband and Wife married for twelve years with two minor children. Wife is a stay at home mom, Husband is a dentist. Husband was physically and emotionally abusive, and controlled all of the assets (money, property, cars, cell phones). Wife hires my firm. We are able to prevail on a motion for attorneys' fees, requiring the Husband to give my office the same retainer he gave his lawyer.

Andrade Law Offices is dedicated to providing exceptional representation to individuals and families at an affordable price. We focus our practice on divorce, all areas of family law, and criminal defense. We understand the sensitivity and strong emotions that surround domestic relation issues, and are driven to achieve clients' goals in all aspects of their case.
After serving as an Assistant District Attorney for over two years in Essex County, and working the last several months as the Domestic Violence Supervisor, I decided to open my own firm. Having worked extensively with individuals and families in crisis during my tenure as an ADA, focusing on family law issues seemed only natural for me.
I spent over two years working as an Assistant District Attorney in Essex County. While there, I was assigned to a trial rotation in the Newburyport District Court. Additional assignments included juvenile prosecution. As a juvenile prosecutor, I was responsible for all aspects of my cases. I handled several youthful offender "YO" cases, where the defendant was tried as an adult. Examples of juvenile cases I handled include: attempted murder, arson, and breaking and entering. I was also the Domestic Violence Supervisor at the Salem District Court. While an ADA, I tried approximately seventy-five jury trial cases. I also tried a significant number of bench trial, many of which required the preparation of expert witnesses.
I am an active volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyer's Project (VLP) in Boston. Through VLP I take several pro-bono family law cases a year and assist in the "lawyer for the day" program.
While it's always refreshing when clients come in and know the legal obstacle ahead of them, given the wealth of information available via the internet, friends, family, and TV, it's easy to be misled about what information applies to a specific case. I firmly believe that clients should be educated, but I also want to ensure that the information they receive is accurate as it applies to their situation.
I am happy to review documents prepared by my client.
I am open to limited scope arrangements where our respective responsibilities are clearly defined.
I was excited by the challenges that a career in law provided, and I wanted to be able to make a difference and help people.
I base my work in divorce matters upon an unwavering commitment to clear communications, beginning with the first conversation to discuss my prospective client's needs and preferences. Recognizing that a good fit to meet one's needs is essential, I will listen to a client's needs and expectations, answer questions candidly, and establish the solid basis for trust that is critical to establishing an effective client/attorney relationship in such an important matter. Divorce does not have to be destructive. I advise my clients to move through the process with dignity. My practical grasp helps people effectively navigate the emotionally charged decisions they face.
After working with victims of domestic violence, and prosecuting serious cases involving domestic violence, I saw a very emotional side of the law. I worked regularly with individuals and families in crisis. I gravitated toward divorce and family law because my compassion and desire to help others is well-suited to assisting people during difficult times in their lives.
I get the most satisfaction from knowing that I've been able to guide clients through an emotionally charged situation while helping stay focused on what matters most.
I am a sole practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me.
I am very practical with a compassionate, yet realistic approach.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I brew our own beer. We enjoy traveling to new places.
