I attend continuing legal education seminars on the topics of Bankruptcy, Family Law, Probate and Litigation. I always exceed the required amount of continuing education hours.
I have helped literally thousands of clients save their homes from foreclosure by confirming plans to repay their past due payments in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Relieved thousands of their crushing debt load without losing their homes, cars or personal property in Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Our law firm extends personal service to individuals and businesses within our community. We are dedicated to helping clients resolve their legal matters in an efficient and professional manner.
Durand & Associates, P.C. was established in 1989. For the past 20 years, we have been providing quality legal services in the areas of family law, bankruptcy, wills and probate, civil litigation and criminal defense to the residents of our local communities. Our history is rich in the welcoming tradition of Texas hospitality which involves a one-to-one resolution solution for our clients.
I began my career as an attorney for a large commercial bank. After that, I engaged in the general practice of law with an expanding national law firm. For several years, I was their Regional Partner managing 31 lawyers and 31 legal assistants in 9 offices in the Metroplex.
Outstanding Service Award - Top 35 of 4,000 participating law firms with Hyatt Legal Plans (a Metropolitan Life Insurance Company). Member - The College of the State Bar of Texas.
I am all for it! An educated client is a good resource. The client lives with their legal problems 24/7. If they do research, I enjoy talking with them about it. They may find something in their personal research that can help their case. A client that is informed will be able to engage in their legal dilemma in a more proactive fashion and will also understand the process as it moves forward. Our office is equipped to support our clients with many internet links, suggested books to read and counseling services.
I am willing to review these documents on an hourly rate basis. I understand there is a need to minimize legal expenses.
I would do this on an hourly basis in a simple case. It is more difficult and probably not wise to do in a complex case.
To help people and make a decent living for my family. I enjoy helping clients who are frequently at the worst time of their lives to resolve their legal issues, feel better about themselves and move on in life.
I am fortunate to have lived and travelled abroad as a young man. I developed a deep appreciation for this country and its judicial system. It is the most accessible and fair system in the world. Making it work for our citizens gives me great satisfaction.
To see the personal relief my clients get when they successfully complete their bankruptcy and get them a fresh start is a wonderful thing. To lift their financial burden and make a living for my family doing it is the best of both worlds.
I can champion a person's cause and make the judicial system work for them. That is worth its own weight in gold. Using skills learned in training and the courtroom to read, write, analyze and speak about the law on their behalf is a challenge in which I can utilize my full potential.
My colleagues and I have worked together for 18 years. We have a very talented and client-oriented group of legal assistants and paralegals who have a wealth of knowledge and are sensitive to the needs of our clients.
I believe and have been told that I am an empathetic attorney who relates to clients and can explain their legal options to them in terms they can understand. My goals are their goals.
I enjoy reading, primarily biographies and non-fiction, politics, pro football and playing golf.
